We here at the Garden of Beadin' feel as though we do business in a people fashion, that is fair to you as the customer, and fair to us a business.  We are real live people. We are not a huge corporation.  We have real life policies.

Ordering

When you are placing an order by phone, please be prepared with code numbers for each item. If you are paying by credit card, please have it ready. Also let us know if you would like us to backorder items we are out of or if we can make a great substitute for you. Our courteous bead experts are ready to assist you.

If you would like to send us a check for your order, we will pull your order and hold it till the check comes.  Please include your driver's license number, state of issue and telephone number.  If  we do not have this information, we will hold your order for 10 working days till your check clears our bank.  We do not have a minimum order but we do have a minimum shipping charge of $4.50.

If you want your order shipped C.O.D, there is an additional $8.00 charge on top of shipping. If you are not in a rush, you may want to just send a check. If you request C.O.D. and you refuse the package, you will be billed for all shipping charges and put down as bad credit in our system!

Shipping

We will ship your order as soon as possible, usually within 1 week. Inside California, we usually ship U.P.S. ground. Outside California we usually ship through the post office. Please expect 3-5 days after we ship your order for it to arrive. We are based in a very secluded area, which can put an extra day delay on shipments. If you need quicker shipping, we can send it FedEx Next Day or UPS Next Day, 2nd Day or 3 Day for an additional charge. We can not Ship UPS Next Day out side of California.

Backorders and Missing Items

Due to the high demand of beads, it is not possible for us to have all our beads in stock at all times. If we are out of an item, we will order it. It usually takes about three days for us to get in stock from our suppliers. If you are in a rush, we can either send you a bead very close to the one you ordered or backorder the one you need. Please let us know if you need your order sent quickly.

In the unfortunate event that all of our suppliers are out of a certain item, we will call you and let you know the status. Please do note that it may take a few months for items to come in from overseas.

Returns

If you have ordered a bead that will not work for you, please feel free to return it. Along with your return, please specify if you would like something else or if you would like us to give you a credit. If we have sent you the wrong color, and you would like a replacement, if possible, send a sample of the bead you would like. We would like items to be returned within 10 days and a 10% restocking fee may be applied. Hanks must be intact. Supplies are returnable as long as they have not been used. Books are not returnable.

Special Orders

Even with our huge selection, we are not able to carry the full line of beads and supplies that you may need. But, we are more than happy to try to get them for you. Do note that our minimums are different for special orders. The minimum order for Japanese seed beads is 6 ounces. For Czech seed beads, the minimum is ¼ kilo. Czech large glass beads have a minimum of 12 strands. Books can be ordered individually, but the minimum on supplies varies with each item. Special orders can not be returned.

Dye Lots and Dyed Beads

Due to the almost primitive way beads are made, not every batch is the exact same color. This is called a dye lot change. When ordering, please be sure you order enough to finish your project and maybe a little more. Most beads are made in 8 kilo batches and each batch varies in color slightly, which can hurt your project. We are not responsible for dye lot changes, nor can we do anything about it. If you need a very specific color(especially reds), please send us a few of your original beads so that we can compare them to what we have. This is the easiest way to insure you get the correct bead.

In order to get certain colors of beads, they may have to be dyed. If you do not want any dyed beads or beads that may fade, please let us know when you order. All galvanized beads will loose some of their coating. Some people like these beads after they fade, some do not. The only way we will know what you like, is if you tell us.
